Clear River Services

At Clear River Wellness our primary tool is Acupuncture but there is a lot more to it… Doctors of Chinese Medicine can utilize several modalities to assist in healing. Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Tui na Massage, Guasha (another massage technique), Qi Gong Exercise, and Eastern Nutritional advice are all a part of the Chinese Medical tool kit.

Treatment takes place in one of our warm and peaceful treatment room, on a comfortable massage table, and can consist of any or all of the modalities listed above depending on the client’s goals and needs.

See modality descriptions below...

Acupuncture

Used for thousands of years as a complete medical modality in China, acupuncture can help with everything from insomnia and acid reflux to musculoskeletal pain and headaches. Acupuncture uses very thin solid needles and stimulates the nervous system, and immune response, and helps to move blood to troubled areas of the body to aid in healing. Acupuncture can be used to help with infertility of many kinds, anxiety, depression, fatigue, pain syndromes of all kinds, allergies, balance, vertigo, the common cold, and even autoimmune disorders. Acupuncture is a relaxing and holistic treatment that can be your first line of defense and an important wellness tool also.

Cupping

Cupping originated as a part of Chinese medicine - the glass or plastic cup is suctioned onto the body to help relax muscles and increase blood flow to an area with acute or chronic pain. This treatment is a wonderful aid in sports injury and recovery as well, and is often used alongside acupuncture.

Reiki/ Theta Healing/ Medical Qi Gong

These 3 modalities are not entirely interchangeable but are all very similar and can be used exclusively or combined. Hands-on or hands-off using light touch, with meditative breathing and visualization these treatments create a warm and safe environment for the patient to open up their energy system to the healing energies that are fundamental to the body and to the universe. This treatment is a wonderful adjunct to nearly any other and creates a deep sense of peace within the body and mind to facilitate healing and the removal of obstacles to healing. Energy work of this nature becomes vital at certain times in life when things seem stuck or the healing process needs revitalization. These treatments work great for pain, and emotional tumult, alongside nearly all cancer treatments, for headaches, anxiety, and general well-being.
